Privacy notice

PottyPro is built so your child’s logs stay with your family. This notice explains exactly what the app stores, where it lives, and what we never do.

Last updated 2 October 2026Applies to PottyPro for iPhone and Apple Watch

In short

  • We don’t collect your data. PottyPro has no account, no sign-up and no BeasNet servers. Your logs never reach us.
  • It stays with you. Everything is stored on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud, run by Apple.
  • No ads, no analytics, no tracking. The app contains no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking code, and never asks to track you.
  • You decide who sees it. Nothing is shared unless you invite a co-parent or choose to send a summary.

Who we are

PottyPro is made by BeasNet, an independent iOS app developer based in the United Kingdom. For any question about this notice or your data, email support@beasnet.com.

For the small amount of personal data we do receive — mainly emails you send us — BeasNet is the data controller under UK data protection law.

What the app stores, and where

To work, PottyPro stores what you enter:

  • your child’s name or nickname;
  • log entries: what happened (for example wee in the potty, an accident, a drink, a dry night), when, whether you were away from home, and any note you add;
  • settings for each child: the gap between prompts, quiet hours, drinks target, presets and the morning check;
  • the note you write for nursery or a childminder;
  • when the next reminder is due.

This information is about your child’s toileting, which is personal. That’s why it stays with you:

  • On your iPhone, inside PottyPro’s own storage — and on your Apple Watch, if you use the watch app.
  • In your private iCloud, if you’re signed in to iCloud. PottyPro uses Apple’s CloudKit so your logs are backed up and stay in sync across your devices. This is your iCloud account: BeasNet has no access to it and cannot read, copy or delete what’s in it. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

PottyPro doesn’t ask for your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or Health data.

Sharing with a co-parent

If you tap Invite co-parent, PottyPro uses Apple’s iCloud sharing to share that one child’s log and settings with the person you invite. Once they accept, they can see and add to that child’s log on their own device, using their own Apple Account. Other children stay private.

The shared data stays in iCloud — it doesn’t pass through BeasNet. You can stop sharing at any time in Settings › Co-parent sharing. If someone has shared a child with you, choosing Leave removes your access without deleting anything for them.

Sending a summary to nursery

Share with carer builds a plain-text summary of today’s log and your note on your iPhone, then opens the standard iOS share sheet. It goes only where you send it — a message, an email, another app. Once sent, it’s handled by that app and the person who receives it, not by us.

Notifications, widgets and Apple Watch

  • Reminders and the morning dry-night check are local notifications, scheduled on your iPhone. They aren’t sent from a BeasNet server.
  • The widget and Live Activity show your child’s name and the next reminder time. To do that, the app copies just those two things into a storage area on your iPhone that its widget can read. It doesn’t leave the device.
  • The Apple Watch app keeps its own copy of your log, synced through your own private iCloud in the same way as your iPhone, so it works when your phone is in another room. It schedules no notifications of its own — your iPhone’s prompts appear on your watch — and its watch-face complication shows only your child’s name and next reminder time from storage on the watch. Nothing from the watch is sent to BeasNet.
  • Apple may send the app silent background notifications when a co-parent makes a change, so your copy stays up to date. These come from Apple’s iCloud service and carry no content from us.

Free trial and subscriptions

To run the 3-day free trial without asking for payment details, PottyPro stores the date your trial started in your iPhone’s Keychain, so that deleting and reinstalling the app doesn’t restart it. That date stays on your device.

Subscriptions are bought and managed entirely through Apple’s App Store. We never see your name, email, card or payment details. Apple gives developers sales reports that don’t identify individual customers. Apple’s handling of purchases is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t run any servers for the app, and your logs are never sent to us.
  • There’s no advertising, and no advertising or analytics code (such as Facebook, Google or similar SDKs) in the app.
  • We don’t track you across other apps or websites, and PottyPro never shows Apple’s “Allow tracking?” prompt.
  • We don’t sell, rent or share personal data with anyone.

Crash reports and statistics from Apple

If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may pass us crash reports and aggregated usage statistics, such as how many people opened the app. Apple doesn’t tell us who you are, and these reports don’t include your logs. You can turn this off at any time in the same place.

When you contact us

If you email support@beasnet.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write, including any screenshots. We use it only to reply and to help you, which is our legitimate interest in supporting the app. We keep support emails only as long as we need them to help you, then delete them. Please don’t send your child’s full name or log details unless they’re needed.

This website

The PottyPro pages on beasnet.com (this page, the PottyPro page and PottyPro support) set no cookies and contain no analytics or advertising trackers.

  • The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • The “Download on the App Store” badge is loaded from Apple’s servers, so Apple receives your IP address when the page loads. See Apple’s privacy policy.
  • Like any website, the company that hosts beasnet.com may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

Other pages on beasnet.com, such as those for our Calendar Alarms app, work differently and are covered by the BeasNet privacy policy.

Children

PottyPro is designed for parents and carers to use, not for children. Information about a child is entered by their parent or carer and stays under that person’s control, on their device and in their iCloud. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has sent us personal data, email us and we’ll delete it.

Your choices and rights

Because your PottyPro data stays with you, you control it directly:

  • Change or delete entries and children in the app. Deleting a child in Settings › Manage children permanently removes their history, including from your iCloud.
  • Stop sharing with a co-parent at any time.
  • Remove everything from a device by deleting the app.
  • Remove PottyPro’s iCloud data from your iCloud storage settings on your iPhone.

We can’t view, export or delete your PottyPro logs for you, because we never receive them. For personal data we do hold (for example, your emails to us), you have rights under UK data protection law to access, correct or delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy. Email support@beasnet.com to use them.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Where data is kept

Data on your iPhone and Apple Watch stays there. Data in iCloud is stored by Apple in its data centres, which may be outside the UK, under Apple’s own terms and safeguards. Emails to us are handled by our email provider.

Changes to this notice

If PottyPro changes in a way that affects your privacy — for example, a new feature that stores data somewhere new — we’ll update this notice and the date at the top before the change reaches the App Store.
